Become a balancing service provider
The following pages explain all process steps for becoming a balancing service provider. The requirements for participation in the balancing market are examined within the prequalification process. Providers must show that they meet all technical and IT requirements. An essential component is the prequalification test, which represents a test operation under operational conditions. Once a provider meets all the requirements, they can participate in tenders. If a provider is awarded a contract, they are obliged to deliver the offered amount of balancing energy or maintain the balancing capacity. Subsequently, the provider receives revenue for the delivered balancing energy or maintained balancing capacity.
