PICASSO
PICASSO (Platform for the International Coordination of the Automatic Frequency Restoration Process and Stable System Operation) is the European platform for the exchange of secondary balance power (aFRR Platform) in accordance with Article 21 of the EB Regulation. The platform enables cost-optimized activation of balance reserve work across Europe based on a common merit order list and considering the available transmission capacities.

IGCC
The IGCC (International Grid Control Cooperation) is the implementation project selected by ENTSO-E in 2016 to become the European platform for the imbalance netting process (IN platform) in accordance with Article 22 of the EB Regulation. The cooperation, which was originally initiated in October 2010 as a regional project by the four German TSOs, has now expanded to include numerous countries across continental Europe, including all those required to implement the IN platform under the EB Regulation. The imbalance netting is now carried out through the PICASSO platform.
